Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Contract This notice of intent is not a request for quotes, and no solicitation is available. The 87th Contracting Squadron at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, NJ, intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price award to a single source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements." A determination not to compete this proposed procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The 87th Contracting Squadron at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst hereby gives notice of intent to award a sole source contract to Dräger Safety Diagnostics Inc., located at 4040 W Royal Ln #136, Irving, TX 75063. This requirement is for the Dräger Alcotest 9510 EN breath alcohol testing devices in support of the 87th Logistics Readiness Squadron at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, NJ. Dräger Safety Diagnostics Inc. is the vendor closest source capable of providing the product, as outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 334519 with the size standard of 600 employees. As implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1), this will be a firm-fixed price contract. All Line Items: 0001 CLIN - Dräger Alcotest 9510 EN Breath Alcohol Testing Device 2 Each This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, and no solicitation document exists for this requirement; however, if there are any other businesses that can provide the specified product, they must respond to this notice before 12:00 PM, EST on May 24,2024. Firms responding to this intent to single source are asked to provide the following information in their response: company’s full name, business size, address, point of contact, and a clear indication as to whether or not they can provide the product the government is seeking. A complete description of the product needed is included in the SOW. Oral submissions of information are not acceptable, and will not be accepted in response to this notice. Any information received will be treated as market research information for future same or similar requirements. The Contracting Office reserves the right to pursue the sole source negotiation or to compete the requirement based on information received. Contract award is subject to the availability of funds.
