The existing RAPCON room was built with specific equipment in the consoles and for limited operational purposes. The upgrade to the consoles is being implemented to have updated console designs that allow new equipment technologies to be easily installed, provide flexibility for different operational requirements, and provide better sightlines & shoutlines for effective management of operations and communication. This modernization will enhance the quality of life for operations in the complex ATC facility. Upgrades to room finish details are being completed at the same time to minimize cost for the finish details. Site Visit: 08 September 2021 at 9am EST.
