The purpose of this requirement is for on-site shredding services to be rendered at the 314th Airlift Wing located on Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas. The contract will be for one base year plus four (4) twelve month (12) options. The Contractor shall shred all documents “ON SITE” and shall not transport documents to another location for shredding purposes. After shredding is completed the shredding shall be transported off site and disposed of by the Contractor. The Contractor shall implement administrative, physical and technical safeguards that reasonably and appropriately protect the confidentiality and integrity of the documents that are collected and destroyed. The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, vehicles, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary to perform Shredding Services as defined in this PWS for 314th Airlift Wing, located on Little Rock Air Force Base, Arkansas. AMENDMENT 01: The purpose of this amendment is to add FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items Addendum to the Shredding Services Solicitation attached (highlighted in document). The phone number for the Primary Contact, Kaylie Anderson, needed to be changed to 501-987-8112. Lastly, the due date for questions pertaining to the Combined Synopsis/Solicitation needed to be included in the description of this post . All questions pertaining to the requirement will be due NLT COB 16 July 2020 to the Point of Contacts via e-mail. AMENDMENT 02: The purpose of this amendment is to include answers to all questions asked pertaining to the Shredding Services requirement. Please see below: 1. Regarding the buildings with stairs or a second floor (Bldg. 318, Bldg. 1231, and Bldg.1230B) Is there clearance around the bin for a technician to access and empty the bin safely without danger of falling down the stairs? Yes, there is clearance around the bin for safe access. 2. Are there elevators in buildings with second floors so a technician does not have to negotiate stairs while carry bags of paper (weighing up to 100lbs) or wheeling a 64-gallon bin (weighing up to 220lbs)? Yes, there are elevators in buildings with second floors. 3. Would you happen to be able to get the total number of pounds of paper that was shredded last year? We do not have historical records of previous shredding. 4. For how you are currently having your shredding done, did you have any type of schedule, or was it more of an as needed basis? Currently as-needed but this contract shall provide a monthly service.
