The 19th Medical Group (19 MDG) is an outpatient facility located at Little Rock Air Force Base that provides clinical services, as well as fitness improvement and preventive medicine programs to an eligible population of more than 44,000 beneficiaries. The 19 MDG installations encompasses a veterinary clinic and a medical facility with different outpatient departments including immunizations, radiology, pharmacy, laboratory, and dental among others. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, vehicles, supervision, and other items and services necessary for the storage, pickup, transportation, and disposal of packaged medical waste generated from the 19 MDG. The contractor shall perform these services in accordance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, codes, and laws; and comply with The Joint Commission (TJC) Environment of Care standards. The contractor shall be a state registered and permitted medical waste transporter. The method of disposal shall be any approved method (i.e., incineration,autoclave/pulverize, hyper chlorate/pulverize, etc.) recognized by the state, in which the medical waste is treated and disposed. The service will also include all documentation of services performed, in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
