The 763rd ESS is seeking information for potential sources to provide support of the HCI software and DELL hardware to ensure timely conversion from Pivot 3 Acuity Software to VMware VSAN software. There will be an ongoing need for software licenses & hardware warranty renewal on annual basis. The HCI/SAN system includes a bare metal VMware EXSI type 1 hypervisor software, VMware vSphere, VMware VCenter, and VMware Log Insight (Aria Operations), for hosting a virtual environment for virtual machines and file shares but does not include VMware VSAN. The Rubrik Disaster Recovery solution backs up mission critical command & control files & virtual machines locally and remotely (geographically separate from the local base). The Rubrik SAN solution included Rubrik Premium support and Rubrik Foundation Licenses. Pivot 3 was acquired by Quantum in 2021 and such Pivot 3 Acuity software hosted on HCI/SAN for Server Virtualization became end of life and end of vendor support. A VMWare VSAN Proof of Concept was conducted at Joint Base McGuire on NIPRNet back in 2023 and proved to be a successful replacement for Pivot 3 Acuity software.
