The VC-25A is a highly modified derivative of the Boeing 747-200 airliner to support presidential airlift. Air Mobility Command (AMC) acquires pilot and flight engineer simulator training from civilian flight training centers. Required training includes classroom and simulator training for the following courses: B747-200 Initial Qualification Pilot and Flight Engineer Training, B747-200 Refresher Pilot and Flight Engineer Training, B747-200 simulator time, and B747-400 simulator time. Training shall be conducted at the contractor’s facility in a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved training center by FAA approved instructors. To be considered qualified, each contractor must possess an applicable training program approved under Title 14, Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFR) Part 121, or a training course approved under 14 CFR Part 142. Training shall be conducted at the contractor’s facility. Contractor’s training capability shall include 747-200 and 747-400 aircraft.
