AMENDMENT 1: The purpose for this Amendment is to provide the responses to the contractors questions. See attached document This is a combined synopsis /solicitation for commercal items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal acquisition Regulation(FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented and additional information included in this notice. This anouncement contitutes the only solicitation, quotes are beinging requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Additionnally the Government will utilize simplified procedures in accordance with FAR part 13. David Grant Medical Center has a requirement for a “Brand Name or Equal” device that has the capability for AEP, ASSR, VEMP and OAE testing all on one platform. The device must have the capabilities to provide in house diagnostic newborn hearing testing as well as sedated diagnostic audiological evaluations for pediatric patients. The AEP Fmp feature provides objective and mathematical information within the recording to assist with waveform analysis allowing for a reduction in test time and confidence in diagnosis. The ASSR software utilizes the Narrow Band CE-Chirp stimuli to generate maximal responses, which makes the detection fast and efficient. Additionally, VEMP testing provides an evaluation of utricle and saccule functions for vestibular assessment and management. This protocol provides a reliable automated ABR test with a sensitivity of 99.9% and a specificity of 96% and reduces test time by up to 50% when compared to traditional ABR testing - this will be crucial when expanding pediatric operations.
