Notice of Intent to Sole Source The 60th Contracting Squadron at Travis Air Force Base, CA has the intent to award a sole source contract for Monaco Emergency Management System (EMS) Upgrades IAW the guidance of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) simplified procedures for one source. Established EMS was developed by Monaco Enterprise Inc. (MEI) is for the Fire, Security, and Life Safety Equipment and services currently in use at Travis AFB, CA. These systems are primarily comprised of proprietary software developed by MEI and MEI licensed vendors, which is then licensed directly to our end users. MEI retains exclusive ownership of the software and does not authorize third parties to alter or add to MEI software or equipment. N063 - Installation Of Equipment- Alarm, Signal, and Security Detection Systems 561621 - Security Systems Services (except Locksmiths) The Monaco EMS upgrades is done with the proprietary system already installed. This project will connect to the current EMS system preventing mass downtime of the EMS. The 60 CES requires the EMS upgrade to the Monaco System. This is a notice of the intent to award a sole source contract. It is published for informational purposes only and not as a request for competitive quotations. Therefore, no solicitation document exists for this requirement. No responses to the notice of intent to sole source are anticipated, however, all quotations/responses received within five (5) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
