The Newborn Genetics Screening Program at Davis Grant Medical Center, Travis AFB, California, requires testing for 400 newborns which is uniquely mandated and prescribed by the State health care regulations in place where the infant is born. In the State of California infants must be tested for metabolic, endocrine, Hemoglobinopathies, and Severe Combined Immune Deficiency (SCID), in order to provide physicians diagnosis and long-term care options for infants and their families. Therefore, the objective of this service is to provide the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF), David Grant Medical Center, Travis Air Force Base (hereinafter referred to as the MTF) as detailed in the Performance Work Statement.
