Request for information- Cell Saver Services for David Grant Medical Center at Travis AFB, CA The 60th Contracting Squadron (60 CONS) at Travis AFB, CA is seeking potential sources to provide a cell saver machine operator to operate the cell saver equipment during surgical procedures. The Cell Saver Operator will provide auto transfusion services for thoracic, vascular, orthopedic, neurosurgery and other emergency surgical intraoperative procedures. Operator will assemble, operate, and disassemble auto transfusion apparatus, process auto transfusion bloods for preoperative blood salvage, and document all cell salvage completely and accurately. Services include providing Cell Saver operations services only. The cell saver service operator must be able to provide services that meet the requirements of this Performance Work Statement (attached) with the capability to respond and meet the required schedules to provide estimated 30-60 surgical cases per year. The anticipated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 622110 (General Medical and Surgical Hospitals). DGMC will provide both the cell saver equipment and the necessary disposable products for cell saver operation; however, if the vendor is unable to use the cell saver equipment provided by DGMC, refer to Appendix B of PWS, the vendor will provide its own cell saver equipment, to include cell saver supplies and all the necessary disposable products for cell saver services. THIS REQUEST FOR INFORAMTION IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY This Request for Information (RFI) is for planning purposes only and shall not be considered as a Request for Quote (RFQ) or a Request for Proposal (RFP), or promise to use a future RFQ or a RFP. This Request for Information (RFI) is to determine the availability of businesses to include small businesses (including the following subsets, Small Disadvantaged Businesses, HUBZone Firms; Certified 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses and Woman Owned Small Business) to provide the required products and/or services. This RFI does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service. Further, the Air Force is not currently seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Responders are advised the Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI. All costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party’s expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFQ, if issued. Respondents are requested to provide the following information: Business name and address Name of company representative and their business title Business Size and Type of Small Business (if applicable) Cage Code DUNS Number Brief capabilities package demonstrating ability to satisfy the requirement. Identify if will utilize Government Furnished property or provide its own cell saver equipment, to include cell saver supplies and all the necessary disposable products for cell saver services. Input on industry common practices on this requirement and provide input on attached PWS.
