Contractor shall be responsible for removal of existing flooring i.e. carpet, tile, cove base and install new ceramic tile flooring, sanitary ceramic cove base, adhesive and floor leveling compound as required. The contractor shall furnish and install approximately 3200 SF of Ceramic tiles measuring 12” x 12”, equal or better. The tiles shall be of a non-slip material. Color to be selected upon award of the project. The contractor shall order for an additional 10% in replacement tiles to allow cutting and matching of pattern repeats as needed as specified in UFGS 09 68 00. The contractor shall furnish and install approximately 300 LF of 6” sanitary ceramic cove base, colors to be selected upon award. The contractor shall furnish and install approximately 8 LF of transition strips. VIT lift shall be used on all furniture, cubicles, and any other heavy items in the construction area when applicable. All electronics and personal items will be unplugged and removed by the customer before the project starts.
