A brief description from the project’s specification is as follows: Mechanical: The work includes replacement of the three (3) chilled water/hot water AHUs with one (1) chilled water VAV AHU and VAV terminal units with electric heat, exhaust fan and automatic dampers on the second floor. Electrical: The existing mechanical equipment shall be removed by the mechanical contractor. The electrical contractor shall disconnect existing equipment. Conduit, wire, disconnects and associated devices shall be removed back to the serving panel as indicated on the drawings. New HVAC equipment as indicated on the drawings shall have new wiring, conduit, and disconnect. The existing 100 amp, 480V, 3 phase HMB panel will be replaced with a new larger HMB panel to support the larger AHU's. Existing circuits to remain will be reconnected to the panel. New 480V, 3 phase M2 panel will be installed to serve the new VAV/strip heat equipment. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 238220, Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning, with a size standard of $19.0M. This contract will be awarded in accordance with FAR Part 14, Sealed Bidding. Additionally, FAR Part 19, Small Business Programs, will be utilized. It is anticipated that this requirement will be 100% set aside for Small Business. The contract will be a single award, Firm-Fixed-Price type contract. Estimated magnitude for the total project is between $250K and $500K. The work is required in support of the 1st Special Operations Civil Engineer Squadron. The issuance date for this solicitation is projected to be on/about 17 June 2024. Prospective contractors must be registered and have an active status in the System for Award Management (SAM) Database prior to award of Government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register and have an active status in the SAM Database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number.
