A brief description from the project's specifications is as follows: Mechanical - Replace five existing VAV air handling units, six constant volume regulators, two chilled water pumps and one air cool... A brief description from the project's specifications is as follows: Mechanical - Replace five existing VAV air handling units, six constant volume regulators, two chilled water pumps and one air cooled chiller to include associated ductwork piping and HVAC controls. Electrical - Disconnect and reconnect existing HVAC equipment being replaced along with extending electrical circuits to power UV lights and heat strips. Phasing - The facility will remain occupied and operational during construction, project shall be phased to minimize the length of time any unit or system is not operational. HVAC outages shall be scheduled, coordinated and approved by the CO before starting work. Additionally, (1) No work shall be started until all parts and equipment are on site. (2) Only one AHU shall be removed and reinstalled at a time. Demo of the next AHU shall not start until completion of the first unit. (3) Pumps and chiller shall be replace over the weekend, holidays or scheduled down days as approved by the CO. The performance period is 361 calendar days. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 238220, Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning, with a size standard of $19.0M. This contract will be awarded in accordance with FAR Part 14, Sealed Bidding. Additionally, FAR Part 19, Small Business Programs, will be utilized. It is anticipated that this requirement will be 100% set aside for Small Business. The contract will be a single award, Firm-Fixed-Price type contract. Estimated magnitude for the total project is between $500K and $1M. The work is required in support of the 1st Special Operations Civil Engineer Squadron. The issuance date for this solicitation is projected to be on/about 11 May 2024. Prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) Database prior to award of a Government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the SAM Database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number.
