The 375th Contracting Squadron, Scott Air Force Base, IL is comteplating as award to retrofit 376 cabinets (manufactured by Martin International Enclosures (MIE) to be shipped from Scott AFB to the modification facility, retrofitted to a Seismic Zone 4 rating, power distribution units and air baffles installed as required, and returned to Scott AFB for installation. This will be solicited as 100% Small Business Set-Aside, NAICS 334112. The response to this requirement is NLT 16 June 2020, 12:00pm CST. Please send all correspondence, including questions to both judith.jennings@us.af.mil and william.tucker.22@us.af.mil QUESTION: Are there any special requirements for base access or any other restrictions/requirements for the drivers. Is it a dock delivery? Special time slots by appointment? Can you clarify this. ANSWER: It will be a dock pickup and the cabinets will have to be hand loaded with cabinet dolly. When being returned, they will be on pallets, so we can use a pallet jack to unload. **Note There may be a different return delivery location on base than the pickup location, as we are working temp storage for the cabinets to get them out of the way of the construction. Once awared the contractor should contact POC to verify. For access to base the trucks are required to use the Mascoutah gate and will need to have all the require vehicle paper (license, Insurance and such), proof of the work (trucking manifest or such). Additionally, they will not allow anyone with a criminal record on base.
