908th Electric Munitions Gate
The USG seeks a contractor to furnish all equipment, labor, supervision, and materials for an electric gate solution at multiple buildings, including a 21'x7' chain-link gate north of Building 1286 and a 25'x7' chain-link gate north of Buildings 1281 & 1282, each motorized and keypad-accessible for in-vehicle munitions driver use. The contractor must attend a site visit, coordinate with the 42nd Civil Engineering (CE) for temporary power and rental item install/removal, and provide delivery, pickup, refueling, and maintenance of rented items. Electrical work must be completed by a certified electrician per NFPA 70, with proper breaker labeling, firestopping, facility assessment, and hot work permits as required. Power will come from existing panels at Buildings 1286 and 1281/1282, requiring concrete/asphalt cutting and underground duct work for one gate, and the vendor must call Alabama One Call and Base CE for underground locates. Startup and commissioning must be completed within one day of contract execution.
