The purpose and objective of this requirement is to replace the repeater supporting the Maxwell-Gunter Giant Voice Emergency Notification System which extends the capability to Gunter. The repeater has been in the inventory since 1988, and it is a single point of failure for the Giant Voice System. This base system provides signals or messaging appropriate to Force Protection Conditions, watches, warnings, evacuations routes, and other alerting information to meet Federal, DoD, Air Force, AETC and base specific warning and notifications. Giant Voice has worked steadily and successfully well over 15 years and needs replacement parts to sustain an aging system. Please see the Statement of Requirements for more.
