Statement of Characteristics Laughlin AFB, TX has received a request by base personnel for a CNC Knee Mill: Specifications Brand: Well-Index, Model: 847. Brand name or equal. To be considered equal, offers on other brands much include the following characteristics to be considered “equal”: Power: 208/230V 3 Phase AC at 60Hz or 460v 3 Phase AC at 60Hz; 5hp Motor; 40 Taper Spindle; Variable Speed up to 4200RPM; Minimum 5” Quill Travel Head with the ability to tilt Right to Left and Front to Back; Acu-Rite G2 MillPWR CNC Control System with 3 Axis DRO CNC X and Y Axis; 14" x 34" min. travels power knee, Z axis, 16" min. travel; Capable of both CNC and manual controls for the table and knee; The quill needs to at least have manual control, can have a CNC control option, 12” x 50” table or comparable with "T" slots; One shot/auto lubrication system; Work light mist/micro drop coolant; power drawbar chip pan. The system will be delivered to Laughlin AFB Texas. The vendor will be required to deliver equipment. Information Requested a) Capability of providing this service. b) Small business size status of the company, include any small business socioeconomic contracting programs (i.e., 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, or WOSB programs) that your firm is registered under.
