Description: The 17th Contracting Squadron at Goodfellow AFB, TX, is issuing a solicitation for fire suppression system expansion at Building 3519. This project consists of the contractor providing a design to expand the existing wet pipe sprinkler system for designated areas and must be certified by a Fire Protection Engineer (FPE) with NICET level 3 or higher certification. The contractor will also provide and install the additional fire sprinkler system and associated materials according to the approved design. This shall be an addition to the existing wet pipe automatic fire sprinkler system and shall be complete and a fully operational system, tested and certified in accordance with all safety standards and codes. Type of Contract and NAICS: This RFQ will be for one (1) Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract and will be made to the responsible offeror whose quote conforms to the solicitation requirements and is the most advantageous to the Government. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 238220 – Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors, and the small business size standard is no greater than $19 million. Type of Set-Aside: This acquisition is a 100% Small Business set-aside Construction Magnitude: Less than $25,000.00 Discussions: The Government intends to make award without discussions. However, the Government reserves the right to hold discussions if it is in the Government's best interest to do so. Additionally, the Government reserves the right to cancel the solicitation before or after the specified closing date. The Government has no obligation to reimburse an offeror for any costs. Registrations: Offerors shall have and shall maintain an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at http://www.sam.gov to be eligible for a Government contract award. If at the time of award an Offeror is not actively and successfully registered in the SAM database, the Government reserves the right to award to the next prospective Offeror. It is the Contractor's responsibility to monitor the SAM.gov website for information, updates, and amendments regarding the solicitation.
