AMENDMENT 0001: 1) The purpose of this amendment is to: Attatch the Questions and Answers (FA303023Q0001 Clean Water Tank Sludge - Question and Answers) to the solicitation. This contract is for the Louis F. Garland Dept. of Defense Fire Academy, fire training school on GFAB, which needs to have their wastewater tank cleaned out of sludge that has been built up over time. Due to the nature of its use for training purposes, the wastewater tank will have a short period of time where it can be drained, cleaned and then have the wastewater and sludge properly stored in accordance with the statement of work. This time period for the interior tank cleaning and sludge removal of the water tank will be from December 19, 2022 to January 2, 2023. The wastewater tank will be drained of most of its wastewater content ahead of the required cleaning period. The amount of sludge is estimated to be at a height of 2FT or less and the total estimated amount of liquid residual that will be left over for the contractor to clean and process is 24 thousand gallons of waste. While the cleaning component will have a strict set time frame to be performed within the period of performance, the disposal of the wastewater tank materials gathered from the cleanup yet to be properly disposed of can be completed within the remaining period of performance if on-site temporary sealed (with lid) containerized storage is used. The contract will be a request for quotes (RFQ), 100% small business set-aside with a total period of performance of 45 days after award. All responsible vendors may submit a proposal to the 17th Contracting Squadron. Oral proposals WILL NOT be accepted. A Firm Fixed Price award will be made to the responsible offeror whose proposal conforms to the requirements of the solicitation and is the most adventageous to the government. The PSC is S222 and the NAICS 562998 which has a size standard of $14.5M. A site visit is planned on 10 November, 2022 at GFAB at 2:00 P.M. CST at the location of the wastewater tank (B3448). Those intending to attend should submit a letter of intent and a base acess letter (BAL) no later than 9 November 2022 2:00 P.M. CST to viktor.friedland@us.af.mil. Following the site visit any request for information about the solicitation or site visit itself shall be submitted no later than 14 November, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. CST so that any information may be compiled and posted before solicitation end date. Interested parties are responsible for checking SAM.gov for information, updates, and amendments in regards to any solicitation. Interested parties must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) and have an Unique Entity Identifer (UEI) number.
