No paper copies of the solicitation will be issued. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; excluding modifications. This solicitation is for the upgrade of Air Traffic Control radios at the Sheppard AFB Command Post and the 80th Operations Support Squadron. The Sheppard Air Force Base, 80th Operations Support Squadron Weather Flight provides Pilot to Metro Service (PMSV) to aircrews either airborne or on the ground. It allows weather technicians to relay information. PMSV is a routine service provided by nearly every Air Force-operated weather flight, and weather technicians are expected to maintain proficiency in radio communication and monitor the PMSV radio for aircrew requests. Legacy radios are no longer supported by the supply system. See attachment 1 - SAFB Radio Equipment List. The 82d Contracting Squadron of Sheppard AFB, Texas anticipates awarding a single Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract. The applicable NAICS code is 334220 and the small business size standard is 1,250 employees. The solicitation number is # FA302022Q0039 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). All documents including the solicitation, FA302022Q0039, and all amendments to the solicitation are obtainable via this notice. Contractors are strongly cautioned to check this notice periodically for amendments. The solicitation will close at 10:00 AM CDT on 2 SEP 2022.
