The 502d Contracting Squadron, JBSA Lackland Air Force Base (AFB), TX, is issuing this Sources Sought as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having the resources to provide the following scope of work. Description of Product:C-5 Training Load Highline is based on previous highline devices used for storage, staging, and loading of cargo loads for fuselage and cargo load trainers. The C-5 Training Load Highline has the following characteristics. The C-5 Training Load Highline is comprised of an approximately 4,100 square-foot elevated, covered platform. The C-5 Training Load Highline is sized to permit thirty (30) each 463L pallets to be stored in three (3) rows while maintaining two (2) open aisles to move loads on and off the highline without disturbing stored loads. The C-5 Training Load Highline is compatible with K-Loaders and forklifts in service with the United States armed forces. The C-5 Training Load Highline rated capacity is 300,000 pounds total weight, evenly distributed. The C-5 Training Load Highline rated capacity includes a safety margin no less than 50% of material yield strength. Once the C-5 Training Load Highline is manufacture, the contractor will deliver and assemble the structure on site at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. (Please see Statement of Work (SOW) for more info) All information provided is STRICTLY VOLUNTARY: The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to query the market for potential interested, capable, responsible, and qualified Contractors that can provide/perform the stated in the Salient Characteristics The government is interested in collecting market data/information in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement.The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 336413 Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing, all materials, manufacturing Size Standard in Millions of Dollars: $12.5M.
