This is a Sources Sought Notice intended as a Market Research Tool for informational and planning purposes only. No contract will be awarded from this Request for Information, however, the information received shall be considered in planning a future base plus four option year contract. This acquisition is being considered for a small business set aside, in addition to consideration of the State Licensing Agency as dictated by the Randolph-Sheppard Act. Responses to this notice will assist in determining whether sufficient small business participation can be expected. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 722310, Food Service Contractors, with a corresponding size standard of $41.5M. The Government plans to consider all information submitted in response to this Sources Sought Notice. The 502nd Contracting Squadron is seeking a contractor to perform full food service operations for Joint Base San Antonio - Lackland, TX. This mission essential contract provides services at 13 dining facilities, one flight kitchen, one field feeding site and two warehouses at JBSA-Lackland, the Chapman Training annex and JBSA - Camp Bullis. This requirement serves approximately 19,500 meals daily supporting BMT Trainees, students, and permanent party personnel assigned to various training and tenant units. Located on JBSA. Contractor tasks include but are not limited to: dining facility management; food safety; cooking; food requisition/inventory control, preparation; serving and replenishing food; performing cashier services; accounting and in the event of contingency, perform all required tasks to include continued service. In addition, duties also include cleaning facilities; cleaning/sanitizing food service equipment/property, tables and chairs, utensils, dishware, pans etc.; procuring supplies and maintaining quality control. The contractor is also responsible for maintenance and repair of food service equipment/property and information technology hardware. NOTE: A draft Performance Work Statement (Attachment 1) is posted in conjunction with this notice to provide the size, scope, and complexity of this requirement. This is not a formal Request for Proposal (RFP), no contract will result from this notice, nor does it commit the Government to any acquisition for these services.
