Age of the pool is unknown at this time. 2. Being that this is a military installation will there be any required “clearances” to enter and leave the base or swimming pool area? Yes, all contractor employees will have to submit their information for a background check with the following: DOB, Birth of Origin, DL #, state DL issued 3. Do I correctly assume that this swimming pool is being prepared for use by the facility? If so, do we take a closer look at the pool circulation equipment so we can advise accordingly? Yes, Facility Manager knows where everything is at and is prepared. Just need acid wash, no circulating pump work. 4. We figure we will require at least two of our company trucks on the jobsite. Will we be able to park close to the facility and would these vehicles require placards or some sort of visitor ID on them Yes, contractors will be able to park their vehicle close to the facility. There is a back door as needed for entrance. A vehicle can be parked there approximately 8'-10' from building. 5. Judging by the photos in your email attachment, it appears the entire swimming pool surface is comprised of ceramic tiles approximately one or two-inch in diameter and not plaster. Is this correct ? Yes, the pool has 1" ceramic tiles. AMENDMENT 2: Questions and Answers: Question 1: Hi I do not want to assume, I see the picture of the pool is already drained correct? (Could have been a file pic ;-0). Just want to confirm the pool is already drained. Answer 1: The pool has been completly drained of all water as the pictures in attachment 2 reflect. This is one-time Firm Fixed Price acquisition is 100% Set-Aside to Small Business concerns, utilizing NAICS 561790 – Other Services to Building and Dwellings (Cleaning Swimming Pools) Contractor, Business Size Standard, $8M.
