The JBSA-Randolph Contracting Squadron, 502 CONS/JBKBA, is contemplating the acquisition of two (2) VersalVent - Model V1 or equal hyperbaric chamber ventilators in order to provide hyperbaric oxygen therapy to critically ill patients at the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine Clinic at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) in San Antonio, TX. The ventilators must meet the following specifications and requirements: Minimum Clinical Performance Requirements Ventilators shall be capable of performing up to pressures of 29.4 psig or 3.0 ATA without degradation of performance. Ventilator rate and tidal volume should be relatively unchanged during pressure changes. Ventilators shall be driven by gas pressure without the need for external power or batteries. Ventilators must be strictly pneumatically powered (electrical power is not permitted inside the chamber). Certifications The ventilators must be FDA 510(K) approved. Please provide FDA 510(K) number. The North American Standard Industry Classification System (NAICS) code anticipated for this acquisition is 339112, Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing (size standard of 1,000 employees). Based on responses to this Request for Information (RFI), this requirement may be set aside for Small Business or procured through Full and Open competition. The Government reserves the right to decide whether or not a small business set-aside is appropriate. Interested firms are encouraged to recommend a more appropriate NAICS in their response; however, include the rationale for an alternate selection. This Request for Information (RFI) is issued for informational and planning purposes only. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE OR SOLICITATION FOR AN OFFER; therefore, in accordance with FAR 15.201(c) any responses to this inquiry will not constitute nor will be considered as a contractor offer, and no award will be issued as a result of this inquiry.
