The 502d Contracting Squadron, Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, TX office is conducting a market survey to determine the capability and availability of all potential sources to provide medical Laundry and Dry Cleaning Services in accordance with industry standards and the attached draft Performance Work Statement (PWS). 2. This Sources Sought is issued for information and planning purposes only. It is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or Quotation (RFQ) and should not be interpreted as an obligation by the Government to acquire services. Any information received will be used to facilitate decision-making and will not be disclosed outside the agency. Summary of Project Scope: Non-personal services to furnish all supervision, labor, equipment, materials, facilities, and transportation necessary to provide bulk laundry services, to include pickup and delivery. The work includes the functions, tasks, and responsibilities normally inherent in a hospital laundry facility and shall be accomplished in accordance with current (a) Joint Commission standards, (b) the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s Guidelines for Environmental Infection Control in Health-Care Facilities, (c) Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards, and (d) any other applicable federal, state and local regulations and guidelines. 3. If your firm is able to provide the services described above and in the attached draft PWS, please submit a written Capability Statement to vivian.fisher@us.af.mil not later than Thursday, 13 February, 2:00PM Central Time. Please limit the submission to five pages (excluding company identification – full company name, address, email address, points of contact, telephone number, DUNS, and CAGE Code). In the Capability Statement, please include a narrative to support the company’s qualifications to provide the services, for example, a history of relevant and recent (within the past five years) experience performing the same or similar services. Address the following areas in the narrative: Identify if the work was commercial (industry) or government Provide contract or project number, title, and length Approximate value and scope of services provided Identify if performance was as a prime contractor, subcontractor, joint venture, etc. If not the prime, indicate the percentage of work the company did perform If applicable, please complete and return the attached survey to identify the company’s status with regard to the small business socioeconomic contracting programs (i.e. Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) or Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB)) 4. For the purposes of determining business size, the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 812320, Dry Cleaning and Laundry Services, with a Small Business size standard of $6.0 Million. 5. A decision to respond to this notice should be made voluntarily with no expectation of reimbursement for costs incurred in preparing the response. The Government's evaluation of responses received will help determine whether any forthcoming solicitation will be conducted as a full and open competition or as a set-aside for small businesses. 6. IF A SOLICITATION IS ISSUED IT WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement.
