This notice serves to announce the intent of the 81st Contracting Squadron to award a sole source contract to Diagnostica Stago, Inc. for a Coagulation Equipment Lease and Reagents, including equipment lease, maintenance, and training to be used in the Keesler Medical Center located at Keesler Air Force Base, MS. The proposed contract action is for a service for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is based upon responses to the Sources Sought Announcement, issued on 18 Jun 2019, titled Coagulation Equipment Lease with Solicitation #FA301019-SS-Coagulation. The approved Justification and Approval (J&A) for Other Than Full and Open Competition is attached to this notice. The applicable NAICS code for this acquisition is 532490 (Other Commerical and Industrial Machinery and Equipment Rental and Leasing) and the size standard is $32.5M. This acquisition will be solicited as a commercial service using Simplified Acquisition Procedures under the authority of FAR 13.5. The Government anticipates the award of a firm-fixed price contract as a result of soliciting and negotiating with only one source. The period of performance for this requirement is estimated to be 1 October 2019 to 30 September 2024, for a total performance period not to exceed 60 months.
