This notice serves to announce the intent of the 81st Contracting Squadron to award a sole source non-personal service contract for Radiation Therapy Equipment Maintenance/Software Support Services for the Keesler Medical Center located at Keesler Air Force Base, MS. The proposed contract action is for a service for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is based upon responses to the Sources Sought Announcement, issued on 10 July 2019, titled Varian Radiation Oncology Equipment Maintenance and Repair. The approved Justification and Approval (J&A) for Other Than Full and Open Competition is attached to this notice. The applicable NAICS code for this acquisition is 811219 (Other electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance) and the size standard is $20.5M. The acquisition will be solicited as a commercial service using Simplified Acquisition Procedures under the authority of FAR 13.5. The Government anticipates award of a firm-fixed price contract as a result of the soliciting and negotiating with only one source. The period of performance for this requirement is estimated to be 1 October 2019 to 30 September 2024, for a total of 60 months.
