This requirement is for the acquisition of new gym equipment for the 121st Fighter Squadron that enables the engagement/exercise of all muscle groups affiliated with the "G-strain maneuver", a critical skill used by fighter pilots to prevent G-LOC (G-induced loss of consciousness; "G" refers to acceleration force) during high-G maneuvers. 121 FS's current gym equipment only permits the engagement of one muscle group at a time and is inadequate for training of all their pilots' lower backs, glutes, hamstrings, quadriceps, necks, and core muscles. Please see the Salient Characteristics document attached to this Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for details regarding the required equipment. The attached "121 FS Logo" needs to be engraved on the required gym equipment.
