This requirement is for the periodic cleaning, repair, and maintenance of commercial kitchen hood and duct systems on Joint Base Andrews. This includes preventative maintenance and emergency service and repair on an as-needed basis. If this service is not performed, there is a greatly increased chance of fire due to grease build up, which would result in damage to the equipment and increased repair costs. Preventative maintenance will extend the life of the system, reducing the need for system maintenance and upgrade over time. The contractor shall provide all tools, supplies, labor equipment and labor/management necessary to inspect, maintain and repair the Hood and Duct system at Joint Base Andrews (JBA) in a manner that will ensure its serviceability and prevent deterioration in operational effectiveness. The Base Period of Performance will be 01 August 2022 thru 31 July 2023, with Four Option Years and Six Month Extension. Minimal Government risk is anticipated.
