The 11th Contracting Squadron at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland intends to award a sole source simplified acquisition, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a) (2), Only one responsible source is capable of responding, to do a modification to the existing security system in hangar 19. This system is an all-in-one portable sensitive compartment information facility (SCIF) solution which will be installed into existing certified Command Control Display equipment (CCDE). The selected company, InDyne Inc., were the original contractors that installed the existing equipment in Hangar 19. Furthermore, they already have the facts pertaining to the routing of utilities, power, and the layout of all existing and related alarm system equipment. As such, InDyne, Inc. is the only company that has the historical information and expertise to meet the critical needs of the task. Release of that information will risk compromising the facility security. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 561621 with a size standard of $22M. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose if determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The government will not be responsible for any costs incurred in preparation of any capabilities statements or documents prepared for this notice.
