This project includes, but is not limited to the following: this is a Design-Build (D-B) project for a complete replacement of the two sets of hangar doors and associated systems. The scope of work includes but is not limited to the following requirements and criteria: removal and disposal of both the north and south hangar doors, foundation rails, grout pack on top of foundation, and supporting structure for the door system as required. Installation of the new hangar doors with limited interference to the operation of the hangar space. A phasing plan which meets the Facility User’s mission requirements throughout the duration of construction will be developed by the contractor and submitted to the government for approval. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction Contractors with a size standard of $39.5M. Statement of Magnitude is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside competitive acquisition utilizing a best value source selection process and award will be made based upon the Best Value to the government in accordance with FAR Part 15.3. As stipulated in FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the government to form a binding contract. No solicitation (Request for Proposal) exists at this time; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. The decision to solicit for a contract shall be solely within the government’s discretion. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available on SAM.gov on or about 19 July 2022. Prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of a government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the SAM database will render your firm ineligible for award.
