The Guided Weapons Evaluation Facility (GWEF) has a requirement for a vibration insensitive MWIR Laser Unequal Pathlength Interferometer (LUPI), a Twyman-Green type interferometer, to align complex optical assemblies and measuring the surface shape and transmitted wavefront quality of optical components, assemblies, systems, and optical-grade mechanical surfaces to be installed on the Flight Motion Simulator (FMS). This capability is critical to meet the IRCM Capability Modernization (IRCM-CM) project requirements in support of the GWEF HITL test mission.
