Eglin Air Force Base (AFB), FL has a requirement to Renovate Building 886 on Eglin AFB, FL. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 236220 with a size standard of $36.5M. The acquisition is anticipated to be a competitive 100% Small Business set aside. This effort is anticipated to be a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) Source Selection Process acquisition. Award will be made based upon the Best Value to the Government in accordance with FAR Part 15.3. The intent of this project is to renovate the interior of Building 886, as well as some portions of the exterior. The contractor will construct this project, in accordance with the Statement of work dated 14 August 2018. Period of Performance will start 295 days after notice to proceed. Work will include removal of existing exterior, interior, and structural components, finishes, ceilings, walls, windows, doors, associated hardware and the installation of upgraded components as shown on the construction documents. Bid Option will include construction of south side dock as noted in the construction documents. The above general description of work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the contractor to perform all work and furnish all labor, materials, and equipment in accordance with the specifications. Proposals are not being requested or accepted at this time. As stipulated in FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. No solicitation (Request for Proposal) exists at this time; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. The decision to solicit for a contract shall be solely within the Government's discretion The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available on the Federal Governments Electronic Posting System https://www.fbo.gov/ on or about 08 April 2019. Prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of a Government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the SAM database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number; recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award. The solicitation will be available only via the Internet at the following address: http://www.fbo.gov.
