SOLICITATION NOTICE: The 45th Contracting Squadron, Patrick AFB, FL announces the release of solicitation number FA252119BA019 being issued as an Invitation for Bid (IFB). All applicable provisions and clauses are included in the solicitation document. This announcement constitutes the solicitation notice being issued. This solicitation is being offered to Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) firms; all others will be deemed nonresponsive. Contract award will be based on Sealed Bid - FAR Part 14. In accordance with FAR Part 14.408(a)(3); Award will be made to the responsible bidder whose bid, conforming to the invitation, will be most advantageous to the Government, considering only price and price-related factors included in the invitation. Interested parties should register on-line and subscribe to receiving procurement announcements related to this solicitation via the website at www.fbo.gov. There will be no paper copies of this solicitation. All solicitation information may be obtained through the above-referenced website. Title: Repair Cable Splices in Manholes on Phillips Parkway, CCAFS, FL Project Number: DBEH 15-1571 Place of Performance: Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, FL (CCAFS) Brief Description of work: This acquisition is for a Single-Award Construction contract providing the labor, equipment, and materials to remove existing 15kV heat shrink splices and install new 15kV cold shrink splices. Replace cable splice in manholes on Phillips Parkway for circuits 8S and 3S out of the south substation. Remove existing splices and install new cold shrink splice on these circuits. Splices shall be tagged with contractor's company name, splice craftsman's name, contact number, project number, and date. Splices will not be grounded to the manhole. NAICS Code: 237130 - Power and Communication Line and Related Structures Construction Size Standard: $36.5M The performance period for this project will be 260 calendar days to begin within 10 days after issuance of the Notice-to-Proceed (NTP). NTP to be issued within 30 days after the award. This acquisition is being issued under FAR Part 19.1405 -- Service-disabled Veteran-owned Small Business Set-Aside Procedures and solicited via Invitation for Bid. The IFB is available as of 16 Aug 2019 with the bid closing at 11:00 AM EDT on 16 Sep 2019. An organized site visit has been scheduled for: 27 Aug 2019 at 10:00 AM EDT; participants will meet at: Visitor Control Center (South Main Gate), Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Hwy 401 North, Samuel C. Philips Parkway, Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, FL 32925. The site visits are not mandatory. Please provide a badging request form of all attendees to Robert J. Baker (robert.baker.58@us.af.mil) prior to 21 Aug 2019 at 12:00 PM EST. Please note that the number of attendees will be limited to two (2) representatives per bidding contractor. All questions should be submitted to all points of contact listed above and must be received no later than 4 September 2019 @ 04:30 PM EDT. Questions received after this date may not be answered.
