NORAD &USNORTHCOM (N&NC) / J6 has a continual requirement for Nutanix certified resident engineer support. This award serves the purpose of providing resident engineering support for the hardware and software initially purchased for the NORAD and USNORTHCOM Command Center (N2C2). The procurement also provides technical expertise for the Enterprise expansion implemented to extend the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) which was established to accommodate teleworking securely on multiple networks (NIPR/SIPR/NEN). Operational capability and system continuity must be maintained in order to minimize any potential downtime to the N&NC networks utilizing the hardware and software package. This system is required by N&NC/J6 to meet the Commands' operational tempo and it is imperative that it remains fully functional and operational through a rigorous initial configuration process and continuous oversight. This service is available from multiple resellers but particular to only one manufacturer, Nutanix. This order is to procure this service for newly procured assets (technical refresh) and the existing Nutanix infrastructure. It is required that the new items be completely integrated within the existing Nutanix infrastructure. Use of a technical engineer from a manufacturer other than Nutanix would immediately void any support coverage provided by the manufacturer, risk voiding existing device warranty coverage and hampering the capabilities provided by the network through the introduction of faulty configuration settings.
