AFMETCAL at Heath OH intends to solicit and award a Sole Source Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract under FAR Part 15 Procedures for the purchase of Low Background Infrared Facility Services to Jung Research and Development Corp. (Cage 3JES1). Jung Research and Development Corp was the only company identified as capable of meeting this requirement without substantial duplication of cost that could not be expected to be recovered through competition. Further, there would be unacceptable delays in fulfilling its requirements to the MDA and its mission if another contractor other than JRAD was used. The Government envisions a Firm Fixed Price services (with some Cost type CLINs for reimbursement for travel and materials) contract with a basic year and 3 option years through 30 September 2024. There is no guarantee that an option year will be exercised. The requirement is in accordance with the Statement of Work which is available for download at this site. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS OR QUOTATIONS. No solicitation package will be issued. A determination by the Government not to compete this action based on responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by AFMETCAL. Interested sources must respond in writing with clear and convincing evidence to support their ability to provide the required item within fifteen (15) days of this publication.
