A sole-source purchase order was awarded to Platinum Contracting Services (PCS) for an emergency gas line repair after a recent gas odor was detected near the southwest section of Building 662. Jacobs (NASA contractor) performed diagnosis with drilling 9 holes along gas line layout to identify likely location of gas leak. Currently, gas valve is turned off from gas main to Building 662. Gas is required for heating the facility as well as hot water for industrial use. The sole source justification is attached to this notice.
