Combined Synopsis Solicitation: F5N1CC0230AW02 Viking Quick Donning Anti Exposure Suit (Brand Name Or Equal) 25 August 2020 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2020-08, DPN 20190430, AFAC 2019-1001 Revision 1. This acquisition is conducted as a 100% small business set aside. This requirement will be fulfilled using the Simplified Acquisition procedures, FAR Part 13. Description of Requirement: The government anticipates awarding one single Firm Fixed Price contract. The contract consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, devices, tools, materials, transportation, supervision, permits, notifications, and all miscellaneous requirements to purchase Viking Quick Donning Anti Exposure Suit (Brand Name Or Equal) See below for Line Items: Line Item 0001: 72 each - Viking Quick Donning Anti Exposure Suit (Brand Name Or Equal) Line Item 0002: 1 each - Shipping and Handling Salient Features: The Viking Quick Donning Anti Exposure immersion suit is made of Nomex Gore-Tex and comes in a quick release bag. The suit has a split-neck zipper and is reinforced on the knees and the seat. The boots are covered with outer fabric and has rubber anti-slippage soles, hook and loop intake. The complete suit assembly provides protection from the thermal effects of cold water immersion in the event of emergency over water aircraft egress. The Viking QDAES is authorized for use by the Air Force for all aircrew members, in the event of emergency over water egress, in multi-engine fixed wing aircraft. Viking Quick Donning Anti-Exposure Suits (QDAES), NSN: 8415-01-593-79343, P/N: PS4049 is for C-5 Aircraft crews, at Westover Air Reserve Base, to protect personnel against hypothermia and low temperature.
