SOURCES SOUGHT This notice is issued to help determine the availability of qualified companies technically capable of meeting the Government requirement and to determine the method of acquisition. It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract. Responses will not be considered as proposals or quotes. This notice is strictly for research and information purposes only. Background: The Air Force Research Laboratory, Aerospace Systems Directorate, High Speed Systems Propulsion Technology Branch (AFRL / RQHP) has a requirement to provide computational fluid dynamic analysis of propulsion concepts to research teams (inhouse and contractor). Purpose and Objective: The Government envisions an annual subscription to a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software suite. Details concerning the software requirements are listed in Section III, herein. Project Requirements: Provide a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software suite to handle multiple flow regimes and grid types (external and internal flows) Tools to analyze the aerodynamic and combustion processes associated with high-speed flight Software capable of treating complex physics with a unique capability for moving meshes Computation of steady and unsteady flows Realizable physical, numerical & mathematical models Provide a general framework, extensible and customizable Provide software support
