This notice is posted in accordance with FAR 5.204. The proposed project will be a competitive, total small business set-aside. The NAICS Code for this project is 332321 and the Size Standard is 750 employees. In accordance with FAR 4.1102 and DFAR 252.204-7004, Alternate A, System for Award Management (SAM); the contractor must be registered in SAM prior to award. Offerors may obtain information on registration at https://www.sam.gov. The Contractor shall be responsible for all professional services, permits, equipment, labor, tools, materials, and ancillary items necessary to complete the tasks to repair hangar door wheels at facility 837. Travis AFB maintenance staff is responsible for this building have indicated that the current wheels have shown a high failure rate since the building was constructed less than ten years ago. Failure-modes include wearing of wheel, bending of the wheel flange, and premature failure of bearings. This facility is designed to operate 24 hours a day and seven days a week, and downtime due to the frequent failure has an impact to the facility operations. All work will be performed at Travis Air Force Base, CA 94535. The period of performance for this requirement will be 180 days from the notice to proceed. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. The solicitation will be available on FBO.gov on or about 25 March 2019 with an approximate proposal due date of 26 March 2019. Specifications will be made available with the solicitation on FBO.gov. A physical site visit for this requirement will be scheduled for all potential offerors, the time and date is yet to be determined but will be listed in the official solicitation. Physical copies of the solicitation and all accompanying specifications will not be provided. All documents for this project will be uploaded to https://www.fbo.gov. The contractor shall provide a signed copy of the SF 1442 and acknowledge and/or sign all amendments at the time and place specified in the solicitation for receipt of proposals. There will not be a public opening. All proposals shall be delivered in the method and by the time specified in the SF 1442. Proposals delivered shall be marked to show the offeror's name and address, contact number, the solicitation number, and the date and time the proposals are due. Contractors shall be capable of securing bonding for the total proposed amount. Contractors that are debarred or suspended are excluded from receiving contracts. The response date cited above is an estimate, not an actual. This notice does not obligate the government to award a contract nor does it obligate the government to pay for any proposal preparation costs.
