No paper copies of the solicitation will be issued. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; excluding modifications. This solicitation is a Request for Quotes (RFQ) to provide Swing Gates at Sheppard AFB, Texas. Please refer to Attachment 1- SWING GATE , Attachment 2- ROTATING VEHICLE GATE-Layout, Attachment 3- Calming Swing Gate Details. The 82d Contracting Squadron of Sheppard AFB, Texas anticipates awarding a single Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract. AS APPLICABLE: Notice to Offeror(s)/Supplier(s): Funds are not presently available for this effort. No award will be made under this solicitation until funds are available. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the closing date. In the event the Government cancels this solicitation, the Government has no obligation to reimburse an offeror for any costs. The main purpose of the project is 6 build swing gates from the specs included and will not be install at this time. We are anticipating an initial total of 4 swing gates, with a possible option of 2 more swing gates in the future, concluding a total of 6 gates total. If all 6 gates can not be purchased now; the first 4 gates will be purchased, while the additional 2 gates will be purchased at a latter time, depending on funding. Six swing gates will allow: -Creates Traffic Serpentine -Swing Clear of Traffic -Single Steel Anchor Post -Wheel Stop Pin- Eliminates need for Locking Holes in Pavement Attention: Attachment 1- SWING GATE Attachment 2- ROTATING VEHICLE GATE-Layout Attachment 3- Calming Swing Gate Details Security Forces at Sheppard AFB, is requesting costumed designed swing gates that will be effective in slowing down speeding vehicles trying to get past security guards and onto the installation. Placing gates that creates traffic serpentine both increases the security of the installation and the physical safety of those working the gates. These gates will be designed to execute from open to close efficiently for security forces. The applicable NAICS code is 332323, and the small business size standard is 500 employees. This requirement is a total set aside for small business concerns. The solicitation number is #F3V3SF0223AW01 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). Contractors are strongly cautioned to check this notice periodically for amendments. The solicitation will close at 10:00AM CST on August 25, 2020.
