This sources sought announcement is issued solely for informational, planning purposes and market research in accordance with FAR Part 10. This sources sought is seeking interest from all business concerns capable and interested in performing Natural Gas Transportation/Distribution Utility services for Sheppard Air Force Base (SAFB), Texas. Please be advised, we are seeking transportation/distribution services only. Purchase of natural gas as a commodity is intended to be accomplished through a separate contract vehicle. All responses will be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for the future acquisition. No Award will be made from this sources sought. A solicitation is not available; therefore, do not request a copy of a solicitation. At this time, SAFB is not seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Attached are DRAFT Specifications which give a general description of the scope of work that is projected to be performed at SAFB. Final specifications will be issued at the same time as any solicitation. Please be mindful that the attached draft Specifications do not define the final requirement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 221210, Natural Gas Distribution, and the small business size standard is 500 employees. All interested parties are to provide a brief statement of capability outlining their expertise via past/current work related to this the services outlined in this requirement. It is imperative that interested parties responding to this sources sought articulate their capabilities clearly and adequately.
