High Definition Audio/Video Interface Converters for transmitting video data and compressed or digital audio data from KC-46A Tactical Situational Awareness System (TSAS) unit to compatible computer monitor in engineering laboratory. The HDVI connections appear to consist of 2 4-conductor shielded cables. The TSAS end of the cable, which connects to J3 on TSAS, has 4 HDVI connections (2 for the captain and 2 for 1st officer) that are then split out to the individual HDVI connections. All the HDVI cannon plug cables are female. These HDVI converters receive High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) signals and outputs Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Digital Video Interface (DVI) signals. The specific cables coming from HDVI converters are DVI-D (single link) to HDMI cables with HDMI side plugging into computer and/or video monitors. The HDMI converters receives power (+28Volts DC) from KC-46A Tactical Situational Awareness System (TSAS) J4 connector. Banana plugs are used to connect power to HDMI converters. The HDVI converters can also receive DVI signals and output HDMI signals. When HDI converters box are configured to go from DVI to HDVI there is a "toggle pixel embed CRC" option. The HDVI converter connections consist of two 4-conductor shielded cables.
