The United States Air Force, 375 Contracting Squadron, Scott Air Force Base, IL is seeking sources to provide service of wet chemical fire extinguishing systems at Scott Air Force Base, IL. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238220, Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning Contractors. The small business size standard is $16.5M. The Product Service Code is J012, Maintenance/Repair/Rebuild of Equipment-Fire Control Equipment. The anticipated Period of Performance: Base Year 01 October 2020 – 30 September 2021 plus four one-year options. Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, material and transportation required to service 28 wet chemical fire-extinguishing systems in 15 commercial cooking facilities and 19 wet chemical Guardian III Residential systems in 19 non-commercial cooking facilities. The service includes semi-annual and annual maintenance, hydrostatic testing of cylinders, replacement of fusible links and provide and install miscellaneous essential parts i.e., nozzles, CO charging cylinders, micro switches, batteries etc., to maintain the operational condition of the wet chemical fire suppression systems in compliance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 96 and manufacture’s standards. The service includes any additional parts and labor for any deficiencies that may arise throughout the year outside normal maintenance. The contractor must be certified to perform Ansul, Pyro Chem & Guardian III maintenance. The Guardian III Residential systems in non-residential facilities will be inspected/tested/maintained annually and all work must be done in compliance with National Fire Protection Association Standard (NFPA) 17A, most current edition.
