STATEMENT OF NEED Sustainment Contract for Classified Destruction Equipment This requirement is to establish a Sustainment Contract to ensure the USSTRATCOM destruction equipment within the Classified Destruction Facility (CDF) is properly serviced and maintained. The current contract that was established by the STRATCOM Project Management Office (PMO) is set to expire at the end of FY21. This contract needs to start at the beginning of FY22 and should include 4 “option” years. 2. The following pieces of equipment will be serviced and maintained: Paper Shredder/Pulverizer Serial Number: 15K5725 Model 3000 Manufacturer: SEM This machine shreds paper and is certified at the TS/SCI level Hard Drive Shredder Model 301 Serial Number: 250159 Manufacture: SEM This machine destroys Hard Drives that have been retired and cleared by the J6 and Information Technology Office. Paper Compactor Briquette Serial Number: 970-501/502 Model Number: TH714 DUO Manufacturer: WEIMA INDUSTRIES This machine takes the shred and compacts it into pucks for easier disposal and helps maintain environment/safety conditions by reducing the generated dust. CD Shredder Serial Number: 00299 Model Number: 22HDS Manufacturer: SEM This machine destroys compact discs at the TS/SCI level. The contractor shall provide on-site visit, three times per year to perform preventive maintenance. In addition to scheduled visits, the contractor will be available to provide service, if critical equipment listed in para. (2) becomes non-operational.
