This requirement is for the replacement of an existing broken HVAC unit located in the enclosed space above the CEX office with a new unit procured by the Government. Project Requirements The Government (shop personnel) will aid the Contractor by providing any isolation and operation of the system to allow replacement. The Government will relocate / remove conduit that will be in the way of the new unit placement. The Contractor shall provide their own lockout-tagout. The Contractor shall cut and install new structural support for the cable supporting the lighting, removing the portion of the cable impeding placement of the new unit. The Contractor shall remove the existing package unit and dispose of it. The Contractor shall install the new package unit, including all electrical/controls and structural re-routing and connections required for operation and mounting, as well as the condensate drain connection. A lift, crane, and/or chain-lift will be required for this work. The existing electrical disconnect may be re-used. The Contractor shall test the package unit for proper operation and control.
