This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation F3H2B19087AW01-55MXS_TLD_Diesel_ Engine is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2019-05 (effective 13 Aug 2019). This procurement is a 100% Small Business set-aside IAW FAR 19.502-2 (a). The NAICS code is 336310 and the small business size standard is 100 EMP. The following commercial items are requested in this solicitation. CLIN 0001 - 55 MXS TLD Diesel Engine Furnishings will be the initial issue and utilized in the Maintenance Squadron. This requirement is for replacing engines in two TLD ACU-808 mobile air conditioners. These units are used to provide pre-conditioned air required for ground handling and maintenance of 55 WG aircraft. Additionally, these units are tasked as deployable on various unit type codes. Their continued downtime results in mobility tasking short falls and a detriment to daily production. The cost of these air conditioners is over $250k and replacements cannot currently be assured through normal Air Force supply channels. Likewise, the engines requiring replacement are not assigned a federal stock number and cannot be acquired through normal supply channels. 1.
