Source Sought Notice: The 42d Contracting Squadron, Maxwell AFB, AL has a requirement to acquire Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Batteries. The supported mission is the 42nd Communications Squadron the Government is seeking qualified, experienced sources interested in providing the items identified in the attached Statement of Requirements (SOR). The Government is contemplating an "OR EQUAL" acquisition for the name brand items listed in the tables listed in Paragraph 2.1 in the Statement of Requirements (SOR). For all items listed in the table, please provide manufacturers, part numbers, and specifications for any compatible equipment other than the brand name items listed. If no "Or equal" exists, your response is also requested. NOTES OF IMPORTANCE: 1. A solicitation does not exist for this requirement. This is only a sources sought notice, so please do not submit proposals. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this notice 2. If the Government decides to pursue a solicitation, portions of your sources sought notice response may be incorporated into the final solicitation. Respondents are discouraged from submitting any information deemed competition-sensitive or proprietary. 3. Respondents will not be reimbursed for any costs incurred in responding to this notice. CAPABILITIES: Please address the following regarding your capabilities in meeting the requirements contained in the attached "draft" SOR: a. Please answer yes or no, if your company is capable of fulfilling this requirement. If your company can provide a product that will meet the minimum specifications listed in the attached SOR, please provide the product name, item number, and specifications. 3. If your company can meet this requirement please provide a yes or no response, to the following questions in regards to the non-manufacturer rule: i. Please provide the socioeconomic status of your business? ii. If your company is a small business will your company manufacturer the items? Please answer Yes or No. iii. AFLOA/JAS Statement of Requirements Purchase additional Tripwire Licenses w/ Support 1.0 INTRODUCTION 1.1. Purpose. The purpose of this contract is to purchase additional Tripwire licenses for the Air Force Legal Operations Agency, Directorate of Legal Information Services (AFLOA/JAS), Maxwell AFB, AL. AFLOA/JAS is responsible for maintaining computer network systems, backup storage systems and communication equipment in support of the Judge Advocate General Corps (TJAGC). As such, we have over 60 applications that we maintain and monitor for the Corps. These applications must be continuously diagnostically scanned for vulnerabilities to comply with AF directives. When AFLOA started using VMWare middleware to build virtual boxes to run some applications we realized we did not have enough licenses to run all our virtuals, thus the need for this purchase. 2.0 REQUIREMENT 2.1 AFLOA/JAS needs to purchase 16 licenses for Tripwire Enterprise for VMWare ESX and 7 Licenses for Tripwire for Databases and support for both. a. VMWare ESX part #172230-00-0000 b. Databases part #172310-00-0000 2.2 The maintenance/support includes tech-support via phone, email, FAX and web during business hours; publishing of bug/defect fixes via patches; updates/upgrades in function and technology to maintain the operability and usability of the software product; and rules maintenance and support, rules subscription-core secure coding, and rules subscription-extended secure coding.
