The 42nd Contracting Squadron, 50 LeMay Plaza, Bldg. 804, Maxwell AFB, AL has a requirement to purchase Rappel Tower Facilitator Training and Safety Inspection services as described in the Statement of Work (SOW), (Attachment 1) for the Officer Training School (OTS). This is a streamlined combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This acquisition is for a contractor to fulfill the Rappel Tower facilitator training and safety inspection of the Rappel Tower & Rock Climbing Wall operated by the Officer Training School at Maxwell AFB. The contractor must provide an instructor that will be accredited by the Association of Challenge Course Technology (ACCT) and must provide as many instructions necessary to perform the initial and refresher facilitator training for 24 individuals. The contractor will also conduct an annual inspection in accordance with ACCT and applicable industry standards of the Rappel Tower and Rock Climbing Wall. This requirement is being solicited as a 100% small business set-aside.
