The 42nd Contracting Squadron, 50 LeMay Plaza, Bldg. 804, Maxwell AFB, AL has a requirement to serve as the Maxwell-Gunter AFB installation horticulturalist, landscape designer, and greenhouse plant nursery manager. Services are to include planning, design, coordination, direction, and performance of a wide variety of horticultural, arboreal, floricultural, and grounds maintenance duties to improve and maintain beautification in coordination with the COR and Grounds Maintenance Supervisor. This is a combined synopsis-solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this procurement is F2X3CE4011AQ01 and is being issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). The 42d Contracting Squadron, Maxwell AFB, AL is requesting information from industry to assist in finalizing the acquisition strategy for the purchase of a Horticultural service at Maxwell AFB, Alabama. The Government is seeking information from industry to assist in determining what types of products and capabilities are available in the market for this type of requirement outlined in the attached DRAFT Performance of Work Statement (PWS). NOTES OF IMPORTANCE: A solicitation does not exist for this requirement. This is only a sources sought synopsis, so please do not submit proposals.
